Responsibilities
Provide project engineering oversight for major turbine generator repair projects and manage maintenance
Work integrally with Product Line Managers, Marketing, and Technical Services managers to identify and develop projects
Perform project risk assessments and develop detailed work instructions for completion of contract work scopes
Develop and use schedules which provide clarity of objectives to customer and Siemens and permit adjustments to achieve desired commitments
Direct involvement in tooling ordering, tooling improvements, and development projects to meet product line needs
Use Siemens Energy information systems necessary to be effective
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred
5+ years of experience in field service
Working knowledge of large electrical apparatus like generator inspection, testing, generator rewinds and repairs
Organizational skills, planning, attention to detail and safety culture
Required amount of travel is 10%, domestic
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
