Hardware Engineering Failure Analysis Case Specialist

Responsibilities
Ensuring smooth flow of hardware failure units through various stages and functions in the Engineering Failure Analysis lab
Working with internal and external teams and cross-functional stakeholders in hardware and software engineering, failure analysis labs, manufacturing and supply chain, product quality, hardware validation teams, lab operations etc. to execute and optimize failure analysis cases and flows
Help track development, release and implementation of corrective actions for continuous improvement of field product hardware quality
Preparation of comprehensive technical Engineering Failure Analysis reports for customers and Cisco leadership where applicable, detailing findings from product failure investigations
Ensure timely shipments of hardware units to the next stage after completion of failure analysis
Support fault reproduction, troubleshooting, system characterization, and root cause analysis of product issues, while ensuring efficient defect tracking and resolution
Qualification
Required
Bachelors + 7 years of related experience, or Masters + 5 years of related technical and operational experience in failure analysis in a hardware engineering or manufacturing context
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office tools
Preferred
Hands-on technical experience in trouble-shooting, debugging, failure analysis of hardware designs
Familiarity with hardware schematics and PCB layouts
