Project Engineer - Sabey Construction
Another Source’s client, Sabey Construction, Inc. (SCI), is seeking a Project Engineer to support the launch of Sabey Data Centers’ newest campus in Umatilla, Oregon. This role involves day-to-day execution of a large-scale, greenfield data center project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
Supporting estimating and purchasing efforts, including development of bid packages and baseline schedules
Managing RFIs from the field and coordinating responses with architects and engineers of record
Processing and tracking subcontractor and vendor submittals
Maintaining and distributing project plans, logs, and documentation
Coordinating special inspections and tracking compliance documentation
Assisting with building permits and jurisdictional requirements
Documenting weekly project meetings and distributing action items
Reviewing subcontractor change orders for scope and pricing
Providing field support to superintendents to ensure quality and contract compliance
Interfacing directly with clients, consultants, and trade partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent construction experience
1–2 years of construction experience preferred (mission-critical or MEP exposure a plus)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills
Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to grow in a technically demanding environment
Willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools
Preferred
Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software preferred
