Quality Technician (1st shift)

They are seeking a Quality Technician responsible for ensuring equipment compliance with customer specifications prior to shipment and collaborating with various departments to execute the inspection process.

Responsibilities

Develop and utilize manufacturing process instructions (standardized work) and inspection verification sheets
Promotes and participates in continual improvement within the department and the organization
Must have the ability to examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications
Maintains working collaborative relationships with all departments and is focused on producing excellent products safely and on time
Applies and maintains quality systems, requirements, and standards for development and manufacturing of products as well as data collection techniques and systems
Utilizes corrective action forms and processes to identify root cause of issues and determine the appropriate action
Utilizes established methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
Promotes and executes quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
Reports to management on quality issues, trends, and continuous improvement opportunities

Required

High school education
3+ years in quality responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
Must have the ability to examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications
Maintains working collaborative relationships with all departments and is focused on producing excellent products safely and on time
Applies and maintains quality systems, requirements, and standards for development and manufacturing of products as well as data collection techniques and systems
Utilizes corrective action forms and processes to identify root cause of issues and determine the appropriate action
Utilizes established methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
Promotes and executes quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
Reports to management on quality issues, trends, and continuous improvement opportunities
Factory Shop Floor
Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Preferred

associate's degree preferred
ERP/MRP systems experience or a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs
Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes for material handling equipment
Willingness to learn and participate in lean manufacturing techniques
