Logistics Supervisor – 2nd shift

Responsibilities

Execution of schedule and cost
Measure and maintain key performance metrics
Maintaining audit readiness
Managing warehouse workflow; monitor and resolve aging work
Coordinate with and monitor other warehouse areas including RMD sites and 3PL providers
Work with other logistics departments to share resources and cross train workforce
Capital identification and control of overhead expenses
Ensuring the enforcement of company policies and procedures
Utilizing business systems and tools that aid in managing labor, processes, and budgets

Required

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of experience
Experience in Production/ Manufacturing/Operations/Logistics and/or Supply Chain
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Preferred

Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with lean / six sigma implementation projects
Previous experience supervising and interfacing bargaining unit employees in the aerospace/defense industry
Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Customer focused and Metrics driven and success oriented
Solid people management and interpersonal skills; uses good judgment to resolve conflict
Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)
APICS certification or able to obtain certification within 1 year of employment
