Post-Closing Analyst
Assurance Financial is seeking a Post-Closing Analyst to manage post-closing and servicing-related activities. The role involves ensuring closed loans are accurately documented and compliant, while coordinating with internal teams and third parties to resolve discrepancies and support loan processes.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong aptitude for mortgage banking and maintain proficiency across all areas of loan documentation, with a clear responsibility to adhere to all established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, investors, servicers, and third-party partners at all levels
Support the insurance process for government loans, including FHA, VA, and RD, ensuring required documentation and data are complete and accurate
Manage all aspects of MERS administration, including loan registration, transfers, deactivations, batch acceptance, daily monitoring, and monthly reconciliation reporting with DMI
Assist with preparation and documentation gathering for annual MERS-related audits
Update servicing records for loans paid in full, including documenting payoff reasons and submitting required documentation to DMI
Build and maintain servicing files for investors and upload required documentation to applicable investor and servicing systems
Review investor missing document and deficiency reports and coordinate the timely delivery of outstanding documentation, including but not limited to goodbye letters and MERS change confirmations
Perform data entry related to loan sales and ensure loans are accurately marked as purchased and sold on a daily basis
Reconcile DMI foreclosure reports and ensure required notifications and reporting are completed with GNMA, as applicable
Manage conventional mortgage insurance reporting and document delivery, including completion of MI company reconciliation reports, spreadsheets, and fulfillment of document requests
Assume full responsibility for loan sale delivery, including preparation and delivery of complete loan packages to investors and assignment of DMI loan numbers
Provide backup support for Post Closing Document Specialist when needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of experience in the mortgage industry preferred
Very proficient computer skills, ability to utilize software effectively
Excel knowledge required
Knowledge of Encompass required
