IT Program Manager

Responsibilities

Manage business and IT stakeholders. Work towards development of business cases in alignment with the strategic plan through collaborative discussions with senior-level business and IT partners, shared services, and risk management. Decompose plans into programs/workstreams. May include complex multi-workstream initiatives. Develop execution approach and techniques to execute according to defined timelines, while keeping in mind time and budget constraints
Plan, execute, and deliver complex IT programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects and programs, ensuring adherence to SDLC/PMLC standards
Develop detailed program view, project plans, budgets, and resource plans and allocation. Identify dependencies and prioritize tasks to optimize project delivery timelines
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and outcomes. Facilitate effective communication and decision-making across teams and leadership
Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers and team members
Ensure project documentation is up-to-date and accessible for future reference. Optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency
Identify opportunities for improving project management processes and methodologies. Provide guidance to the project managers
Drive execution of digital transformation initiatives working with cross functional technical teams
Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to have a fair understanding of technical designs, data flows and integrations
Ensure alignment of project deliverables with design, architecture and technology standards
When working with Agile teams, facilitate scrum ceremonies, partner with Scrum Masters/RTEs, and promote the culture of continuous improvement
Partner with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external vendors to ensure alignment and management of cross functional dependencies
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; maintain compliance with governance frameworks
Prepare and present risk reports and escalation plans to leadership
Communicate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams
Influence decision-making and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
Provide regular status reporting to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the board

Required

10+ years of related experience in Project Management or similar field
Bachelor's degree in related field required
Advanced to expert experience in various PMO functions including Governance, Resource Capacity Management, Talent Development, and Program Management
Advanced experience in IT project management managing large, complex projects with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Advanced to expert experience with IT Program Management
Advanced to expert relationship management skills
Advanced to expert experience collaborating with executives, stakeholders, and management
Advanced to expert experience leading through challenges and gaining buy-in across multiple customers/stakeholders involved in delivering program solutions
Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
Advanced experience working with project management tools (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, Planview, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar)
Strong understanding of IT systems, software development life cycles (SDLC), and cloud technologies while also demonstrating strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external partners
Project Management Professional Certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification

Preferred

Masters or MBA in related field preferred
Previous leadership experience preferred
Advanced financial industry experience preferred
Preferred experience with digital transformation, digital conversion or projects emerged from M&A activities
Occasional travel required
