Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom and commercial software applications
Configure and support applications used in manufacturing and engineering operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions
Enhance and optimize software to improve performance, efficiency, and usability
Troubleshoot, test, and resolve software defects and operational issues
Support Agile development practices, including iterative development and continuous improvement
Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations for managing software solutions at scale
Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to manufacturing and operational environments
Develop and maintain technical, operational, and user-level documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field with 8 or more years of professional experience or Master's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field with 6 or more years of professional experience
Demonstrated experience in Java software development
Experience working in Windows and Linux/UNIX operating environments
Experience supporting the full software development lifecycle
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development tools
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, operational environment with changing priorities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field with 12 or more years of professional experience or Master's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field with 10 or more years of professional experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
Preferred
Full-stack or service-based Java development experience
Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and microservices concepts
Experience with HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON
Experience with frameworks such as React or Angular
Experience with relational databases
IBM WebSphere and Liberty Application Server administration
Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
Experience supporting enterprise or large-scale software systems
Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or operational systems
System integration experience
Network Protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, TCP/IP)
Knowledge of MRP, ERP, PLM, MES systems
