College Lift Program Operations & Data Management Specialist

Forsyth Technical Community College is seeking a College Lift Program Operations & Data Management Specialist to support the efficient operations of the College Lift program. The role involves coordinating program logistics, managing data, and tracking student progress to enhance college access and equity for underrepresented students.

Responsibilities

Coordinate logistics for academic instruction and tutoring sessions. Includes material preparation, day-of operations for Saturday Academy (attendance, room setup, food logistics, materials, sign-in/out systems)
Coordinate logistics for parent engagement sessions and events
Coordinate logistics for enrichment opportunities such as college visits
Maintain updated program calendars, schedules, and staff workflows in MS Teams
Collaborate with College Lift team to ensure smooth weekly execution of programming
Assist with recruitment, outreach, and onboarding processes for new students
Provide general administrative support such as file organization, printing, and communication tasks (students, parents, instructors, volunteers)
Maintain and update College Lift’s student data systems, including demographic data, contact information, program participation, forms, and academic records
Track changes in student contact information and ensure timely team notifications
Build and maintain Excel dashboards and trackers using formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and conditional formatting
Analyze attendance, academic progress, and engagement trends; prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Use Element 451 as the main platform for communications and student record management
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and real-time documentation across all datasets

Required

Associate degree or 1-3 years of experience
Intermediate Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, data validation, error checking)
Comfort learning new data systems (CRM, spreadsheets, tracking systems, digital forms)
Strong passion for educational equity, college access, and supporting first generation, multilingual, and underrepresented students
Demonstrated analytical thinking, accuracy, and attention to detail
Excellent follow-through, reliability, and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work during the week, Saturdays (21 required), and evenings as needed

Preferred

Experience working with middle/high school students, first-gen families, or college access programs
Familiarity with data systems such as Colleague, Informer, OnBase, Excel Online, or Power Automate
Bilingual English/Spanish
