Responsibilities

Interns will get the opportunity to assist and shadow engineers involved in the execution, design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components and assemblies using sound engineering principles, while meeting industry standards and program requirements
You will rapidly develop hardware designs and AI physics-based models for advanced propulsion projects
You will evaluate new hardware through component or full-assembly testing
You will explore conceptual design space for engines and technical maturation strategies
You will explore novel technologies for sub-modules at an engine level
Be debriefed on design reviews and hear from other disciplines in design, performance, controls, and system integration
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
You will learn about the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design

Required

At minimum, completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment
High School/GED
Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding
Must have a valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship
Currently enrolled in a full-time, nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in engineering (acceptable degrees include Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2026
Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2026
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Engineering aptitude and passion for aerospace technology
Proficiency in at least one programming language
Strong communication and leadership abilities
