Cybersecurity Associate Security Control Accessor - SFR Contract
Amentum is seeking a Cybersecurity Associate to provide Security Control and Risk Assessments for the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). The role involves executing cybersecurity policies, conducting scans, analyzing network traffic, and supporting compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities
Take direction from and execute the policies and processes established to improve cybersecurity across the Western Launch Range
Serve as a developing cybersecurity professional, assisting in representing SFRC to government and associated customers
Execute authenticated scans using tools like Nessus and SCAP Compliance Checker; assist in analyzing network traffic and populating Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) documentation
Support the application of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) settings and help record and report findings in a STIG checklist
Keep up to date with new technologies and capabilities to maintain a foundational awareness of cybersecurity and IT advancements
Assist in organizing, developing, and presenting briefings, written summaries, and reports
Obtain and maintain a SIPRNet account and learn to use eMASS with guidance from senior staff
Safeguard and ensure the integrity of company, customer, and government data
Support the review of documentation and assist in analyzing the cybersecurity posture of Range IT systems for compliance with DoD/DOW and NIST policies
Acquire and maintain cybersecurity-relevant certifications based on DoD 8140 guidance
Assist the O&M, Engineering, and Business Systems organizations in implementing cybersecurity requirements
Monitor your assigned tasks to ensure products are delivered on time
Ensure your work is reviewed by senior staff prior to release to ensure quality and consistency
Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and work instructions
Qualification
Required
4+ years of relevant experience with associate degree
0-2 years of experience in information technology, system administration, or networking with a bachelor degree
Experience or familiarity with Vulnerability and patch management concepts
Installation or configuration for IT systems, such as firewalls, network appliances, or operating systems
Basic security principles and network hardware configurations
Foundational understanding of DoD Cybersecurity Policies is a plus
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools is highly desirable
Self-motivated team player capable of working with supervision
Good organization and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving technical issues
Good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with team members
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional image
