CopperSmith® is the world’s finest purveyor of custom metalwork products, and they are seeking a front-end developer with strong UI/UX sensibility to own the client-side experience of their digital platform. This role involves implementing user-facing interfaces and collaborating with various teams to ensure a premium digital presence that reflects the quality of their products.

Responsibilities

Owns the implementation and evolution of all user-facing interfaces across the website, blog, and configurator

Translates designs, concepts, and product requirements into clean, maintainable, production-ready code

Ensures exceptional performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser consistency

Applies strong visual and interaction judgment to typography, spacing, hierarchy, layout, and motion

Contributes meaningfully to UX decisions, improving clarity, usability, and conversion while preserving a premium feel

Partners closely with the Creative Director to faithfully execute brand standards and visual intent

Collaborates with Product to refine user flows, edge cases, and customer journeys

Works effectively with complex backend systems and APIs to deliver seamless front-end experiences

Understands how front-end components interface with backend logic, data models, and services

Collaborates closely with the VP of Development and backend engineers to integrate UI with core systems

Comfortable working in API-driven environments and identifying front-end implications of backend constraints, without owning backend architecture or development

Acts as a bridge between design, product, and engineering, proactively resolving gaps and ambiguity

Balances speed, quality, and maintainability in a fast-growing, design-led environment

Communicates clearly and works well with cross-functional stakeholders

Required

3–6+ years of front-end development experience

Demonstrated UI/UX sensibility through prior work, portfolio examples, or shipped products

Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS

Solid experience with JavaScript and jQuery

Hands-on experience with Knockout.js

Experience working with Vue.js

Comfortable working within and thoughtfully evolving an existing front-end architecture

Strong understanding of front-end performance optimization and best practices
