The University of Central Florida is a next-generation public research university seeking to hire a Systems Administrator II. This role is responsible for managing and securing endpoint systems, administering critical infrastructure services, and providing Tier 3 technical support.

Responsibilities

Configure and support Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and/or JAMF for device management
Maintain secure system configurations (GPOs, Intune, and/or Jamf), review and mitigate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Respond to and resolve complex technical issues escalated from lower tiers
Administer and maintain endpoint privilege management software to ensure least-privilege principles
Manage and maintain file servers, print servers, and license servers
Develop scripts and automated solutions to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency
Document processes and configurations; mentor junior staff as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)
Strong experience in endpoint management platforms, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and automation
Configure and support Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and/or JAMF for device management
Maintain secure system configurations (GPOs, Intune, and/or Jamf), review and mitigate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Respond to and resolve complex technical issues escalated from lower tiers
Administer and maintain endpoint privilege management software to ensure least-privilege principles
Manage and maintain file servers, print servers, and license servers

Position requires a valid Class E driver's license
Applicant must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer, as sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future

Preferred

Advanced experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and/or Jamf in enterprise environments
Strong understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and compliance enforcement through Intune/Jamf
Experience with automation and scripting for process improvement
Proven ability to maintain secure system configurations and enforce least-privilege principles using endpoint privilege management tools (e.g., BeyondTrust, CyberArk)
Experience providing Tier 3 technical support experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or ITIL
