This role serves as a financial partner to Project Managers, responsible for the accuracy and integrity of project financials from setup through closeout.

Responsibilities
Own project financials for multiple active construction projects
Manage WIP schedules, cost-to-complete, and forecasting
Prepare and oversee AIA billings (G702/G703), change orders, and retention
Track job costs against budgets and identify risks early
Partner closely with Project Managers on financial performance and decisions
Review subcontractor billings and ensure alignment with contracts and SOVs
Support cash flow tracking, collections, and project closeout
Provide accurate, timely reporting to leadership
Act as a financial control point to reduce surprises and protect margin
Review and interpret owner contracts and subcontracts to ensure billing, costs, and forecasts align with contractual terms
Partner with Project Managers to manage the financial impact of change orders, allowances, and contract amendments
Ensure subcontractor billings and SOVs comply with contract requirements
Identify and flag contract-related financial risks that could impact margin or cash flow
Qualification
Required
5+ years of Project Accounting experience with a General Contractor
Proven ownership of WIP, forecasting, and job cost
Strong experience with AIA billing and GC workflows
Comfortable working directly with Project Managers
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects
Construction accounting systems such as Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE, CMiC, Procore, or similar
Strong Excel skills
Familiarity with job cost reporting and project controls
Highly organized and dependable
Calm, clear communicator
Comfortable pushing back when needed
Able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
