Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Responsibilities

Analyzing statutory ledgers, monitoring reconciliations, and investigating variances across billing, collections, and financial reporting data
Preparing and reviewing account analyses, journal entries, and month-end closing tasks
Validating financial data across accounting systems and maintaining financial accounting procedures
Reviewing statutory reports, identifying discrepancies, and presenting findings to stakeholders as needed for resolution
Collaborating with finance management on year-end reporting, new report development, and special projects
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Required

Possess thorough knowledge of cash and accrual accounting principles in a multi-jurisdictional environment
Exhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent international certification
A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in accounting practices and procedures with increasing responsibility
International accounting and financial reporting experience, including foreign exchange exposure
Public accounting or professional services firm experience

Preferred

Demonstrate experience with Elite 3E, Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Business Objects, or similar platforms
