Litigation Paralegal

LHH is working with a boutique law firm seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their defense litigation team, delivering comprehensive legal support to attorneys across all phases of litigation. This role is ideal for a Certified Litigation Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and demonstrates excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-claim investigations and perform initial case assessments
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents
Perform legal research and manage case files with accuracy and efficiency
Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery indexes, and all related case documents
Prepare exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices for attorneys
Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other written discovery requests
Serve as a liaison between trial teams and external parties, including experts and court personnel
Support attorneys in preparation for trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations

Required

Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in a defense-focused law firm environment
Paralegal certification required; valid certificate must be provided prior to hire
Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery processes, motions, and court rules
Proficiency in WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook, E‑Copy, Westlaw, Automated Forms, and E‑Filing systems
Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills
Self-sufficient, proactive, and able to thrive in a team-oriented environment

Bilingual abilities; Spanish preferred but not required
