Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate will assist with receipt, transfer, and storage of incoming freight, along with picking and preparing orders for shipments in the Building Materials division.

Responsibilities

Detail Oriented - Unloading incoming freight, verifying product against enclosed packing lists, sorting material by end destination and putting away excess stock
Equipment Usage - Using fork trucks and order picking equipment
Loading Products - Loading outbound transfer trucks
Preparing Orders - Accurately pulling customer orders and preparing material for shipment
Safety - Securing and labeling products for delivery
Process - Transferring picked orders to staging area for delivery per the delivery schedule
Open Communication - Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of warehouse
Teamwork - Performing other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
Qualification
Required
High School diploma/GED required
Prior warehouse experience is preferred
Previous Fork Lift Experience
General Warehouse experience
Strong communication skills
Safe working practices
Natural detail-orientation
Ability to accurately pull orders and load/unload trucks
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 75lbs
