Western Virginia Recovery Program Manager

Responsibilities
Work towards meeting the strategic priorities of Hurricane Helene Disaster funding agreements through project management, data synthesis and reporting, and delivering tangible lasting results
Manage multiple tasks, projects, deadlines, and resources efficiently
Maintain project documentation, track progress, and ensure alignment with overall goals
Analyze problems, think critically, and develop effective solutions
Forecast project success and identify potential risks to develop strategies to mitigate them including creating contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges, evaluating options and making recommendations
Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking costs throughout the life cycle of the project
Financial responsibility will include purchasing, processing invoices and transfers, and assisting in budget preparation
Identify relevant data to be gathered across program areas
Create, manage, synthesize, and interpret data from multiple sources, to develop and maintain dashboards to display and track accomplishments for publicly funded agreements that include a spatial component
Provide GIS support and analysis
Create dashboards, reports, presentations, and other materials for communication with different audiences, including meeting public award reporting requirements in a timely manner
Collaborate to create realistic timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure that program deliverables stay on schedule to meet deadlines with quality results
Motivate team members and foster a collaborative and productive environment
Convey ideas, project requirements, and negotiate team dynamics without authority and may be responsible for the work of peers on departmental project teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination
Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data
Experience managing and implementing multiple projects
Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement
Experience with current technology in relevant field
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience creating and managing dashboards to compile and display data
Advanced coursework or experience with data management and analysis using ArcGIS Online/ArcGIS Pro
Preferred
Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated
Experience implementing complex processes
Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results
Familiarity with project management tools and comfort using software for planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication
Demonstrated skills to manage relationships with team members
Able to adapt to changing circumstances and remain flexible in the face of challenges
