Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Products, IT, Digital, and Enabling divisions to define and execute the enterprise AI roadmap
Translate healthcare use cases such as diagnostic support, care management, patient engagement, and financial operations into production-ready AI solutions
Lead multi-disciplinary teams in operationalizing AI initiatives aligned with system-wide digital transformation and quality improvement goals
Serve as a technical and strategic advisor for healthcare AI innovation, focusing on safe, ethical, and scalable AI deployment
Design and oversee the implementation of AI/ML platforms supporting predictive analytics, GenAI applications, and advanced automation within products and services
Drive MLOps and LLMOps maturity across the enterprise, including model development pipelines, validation environments, and deployment frameworks
Ensure interoperability with our existing products and services
Implement enterprise AI patterns for both structured and unstructured (notes, images, audio) data
Embed Responsible AI principles and healthcare regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH, FDA SaMD guidance) into all AI engineering practices
Partner with compliance, privacy, and legal teams to operationalize model validation, auditability, and explainability across AI use cases
Maintain adherence to enterprise cybersecurity and vulnerability remediation processes to secure AI environments
Lead documentation and controls aligned with model lifecycle management and clinical safety assurance frameworks
Build and mentor a team of AI engineers, Data Engineers, and DevOps professionals under the AI Engineering COE
Foster collaboration between AI Engineering, Data Science, Clinical Informatics, and Data Governance teams to ensure alignment of needs and outcomes
Champion continuous learning programs and strategic partnerships with universities, startups, and vendors to accelerate healthcare AI innovation
Serve as a technical advisor advise leadership on AI opportunities, risks, ethics and implementation trade offs
Define and govern AI/ML Agentic AI architecture. Develop enterprise AI reference design, patterns and guardrails including multi agent orchestration, reasoning frameworks and AI safety controls
Ensure AI products are built for scalability, compliance and integration with core systems
Oversee design and deployment of AI agents, clinical AI assistants, and automation frameworks
Drive enterprise adoption of explainability, drift, bias monitoring and detection, auditability, risk assessment and regulatory compliance frameworks for both predictive models and autonomous agents
Collaborate across technology towers including data, engineering, infrastructure, architecture, security to enable secure, scalable deployment of AI and agentic systems
Promote Quest’s AI strategy internally and externally representing the company in regulatory, healthcare and technology forums
Work with architecture to standardize enterprise AI tools, frameworks, and model governance

Required

Minimum 10 years' experience in enterprise technology and architecture
Experience participating in or leading AI governance councils, model risk committees, or equivalent regulatory forums
Proven expertise with AI agent frameworks e.g. LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI or equivalent and multi-agent system design
Strong track record designing AI/ML systems in regulated industries
B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
English Required

Preferred

Minimum 5 years' experience in ML advanced analytics
Demonstrated thought leadership in responsible AI or agentic AI (publications, regulatory engagement, industry speaking engagements)
Strong track record designing AI/ML systems healthcare strongly
Google cloud certifications with AI/ML specialization
Graduate degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or related field
