Responsibilities
Lead a distributed accounting team of 7+ across accounts receivable, accounts payable, compliance, and back-office support
Provide coaching, structure, and accountability to team members with varied professional backgrounds
Oversee multi-entity accounting for 12 IT entities, 5–6 real estate entities, and sister companies
Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations
Ensure all entities maintain good standing, including registrations, renewals, and compliance filings
Supervise AR, AP, cash management, and bank reconciliations
Strengthen and formalize collections processes
Support quarterly close processes and audit preparation in partnership with the interim Controller/CFO
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements prepared by the team
Ensure accurate sales tax reporting
Maintain and improve accounting workflows in QuickBooks Desktop and ConnectWise
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity environments
Strong background in corporate accounting, consolidations, and intercompany accounting
Experience with IRS audits, compliance filings, and multi-state operations
Proven ability to register and maintain entities in good standing across multiple states
Expertise in AR, collections, and cash management
Systems experience with QuickBooks Desktop; familiarity with ConnectWise preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead teams with varied skill levels and professional backgrounds
Experience managing shifting priorities in fast-paced, high-growth environments
