24x7 support, database performance tuning, backup & recovery, replication, and security management
Working directly with customers, handling incidents, and supporting high-availability environments
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience as an Informix DBA
Strong expertise in Informix Database Administration (DBMS)
Hands-on experience on Unix / Linux platforms
Database installation, upgrade, patching, and maintenance
Performance tuning, statistics management, and SQL optimization
Backup & restore tools: Veritas NetBackup (TARA) / NetVault / Tivoli
High availability, replication, and clustering in Informix
Security, user, object, and access management
Production support, incident & change management (24x7 environments)
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and scripting skills
Ability to mentor junior DBAs and work cross-functionally
Preferred
Candidates with strong production support & HA/replication experience
Profiles with hands-on Unix + Informix tuning & backup expertise
Candidates who have worked in 24x7 enterprise environments
Prefer profiles with excellent communication & customer-facing exposure
Avoid junior DBAs or candidates with only generic RDBMS experience
