The role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of the General Ledger, and managing account reconciliations while supporting financial forecasting activities.

Responsibilities
Update and maintain the general ledger file and associated reports and verifying accuracy
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Hands on involvement in the monthly accounting close process including journal entries, account reconciliations and analytical review of the monthly operation results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
Manage production of the budgets and forecasts and operating metrics
Develop and maintain comprehensive reconciliation processes for all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, sales, payments, receivables, freight, intercompany accounts, and accruals
Conduct regular reviews of reconciliations to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure proper documentation and support
Perform variance and trend analysis to identify areas of improvement or concern
Provide backup for invoicing, payables, and payroll as necessary
Provide financial analyses as needed for capital expenditure projects
Perform other duties and special projects as required
Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related degree required
10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
Proven supervisory ability
Advanced Excel skills required
Strong analytical and interpretation skills. Focus on analysis, as well as transactional detail
Excellent communication and time management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines
Must be willing to travel as needed with a valid passport
Preferred
MBA or CMA/CPA is a plus
Finance experience within a manufacturing environment would be a plus
Basic knowledge of JD Edwards and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management would be a plus
