Responsibilities
Maintaining relationships with the current supply chain to ensure continuity of materials and supplies while accounting for changes within the business
Development of the supply chain by researching new technologies/trends, establishing new relationships and finding new product offerings within the market
Driving cost reductions within all areas of sourcing (materials, components, and logistics) through data analysis, relationship management and strategic souring initiatives
Maintaining MRP data within the system to account for changes in business
Ownership of the inventory and physical inventory process
Reporting key performance indicators to the leadership team
Supporting business development activities regarding quotations, technical reviews, auditing new suppliers, and customer communication
Maintaining the SDS database as it relates to material and component sourcing
Responsible for the hazardous waste manifest process
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well organized, detail orientated and data driven
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or any other similar discipline
Minimum of 5 years of previous purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
Previous experience maintaining and improving ERP/MRP systems. Experience with Plex is preferred
High ability to adapt to changes and learn new skills
Technical ability with systems and technical focus within manufacturing
Experience in transactional and strategic negotiation skills
Advanced experience with excel and other analysis tools
