Responsibilities

Organize and perform field work, both supervised and unsupervised
Navigate by vehicle and foot to specific locations, likely requiring several miles of hiking each day, to collect vegetation data
Collect and manage data
Collect ecological geospatial data

Qualification

Field experience in sagebrush ecosystemsData managementPlant identificationArcGIS platformsIndependent judgmentTime managementTeamwork

Required

Associates Degree in natural resources; environmental studies or equivalent combination of education and 6 months' experience
Experience managing and prioritizing tasks from multiple sources
Valid driver's license
Located within a 45-minute drive of Jackson, Wyoming

Preferred

Field experience in sagebrush ecosystems, preferably in grizzly country
Experience identifying plants to species level in the sagebrush ecosystem
Experience collecting and managing field data, preferably using ArcGIS platforms such as Survey123 and Field Maps
Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
Time management skills
