Responsibilities

Plans, coordinates, and oversees the work of residential direct service and support staff on all shifts to ensure all routines are scheduled and implemented as planned
Responsible for scheduling staff, modifying staff schedules, cover shifts as needed to fill staffing deficiencies and reduce overtime
Oversees scheduled work assignments and adjusts as needed. Arranges and posts schedules, responds to questions and problems, etc., to ensure the smooth operation of the residence/treatment apartment programs
Ensures quality services are provided to each resident through person-centered planning and maximizes opportunities for integration within the community
Monitors and documents the delivery of all services
Participates in the departmental on-call system
Assists with the completion and submission of all paperwork required within established program deadlines
Assists in maintaining residential rental and financial accounts while ensuring fiscal integrity
Provides counseling, safety interventions, restorative services, assistance in negotiating community activities and crisis management services
Monitors, trains and assists residents in all programs in household maintenance activities to ensure a clean, safe and homelike environment. Directly participates in household maintenance activities when required
Provides training, supervision and assistance to residents in daily activities, including food purchases, recreational activities, and meal planning, and personal care activities
Assists residents in developing meaningful service plan goals and provide supports to assist residents in achieving their goals
Be ready to step in and support residents in their needs when needed, ensuring their well-being and comfort
Maintains collaborative contacts with other identified individuals, families, and agencies providing services to residents to ensure consistency in treatment planning and services provision
For Congregate Treatment Residences, ensures that monthly fire drills and associated procedures are completed and recorded
Evaluates resident and staff response, making recommendations, documenting, and completing follow-up, as necessary:
Available for crisis and emergency events as they arise. Answers questions, notifies supervisor and/or Director of Licensed Residential Services/Chief Program Officer of emergency events
Participates in a broad program of quality assurance activities. Ensures departmental guidelines are being fully addressed and corrective actions taken as may be required

Required

Master's Degree or BA degree in a human services field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in behavioral health, with 2 years of supervisory experience preferred, or
Master's degree in a human services field and 6 years of experience working with diverse populations in behavioral health, with one year of supervisory experience or
High school diploma and 8 years' experience in human services, with one year of supervisory experience
A strong understanding of recovery, person-centered practice, and wellness
Knowledge of licensed housing regulations, principles, and best practices
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with the community
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Strong computer knowledge: typing, communication tools, scheduling tools, and web browsers
Experience with EHR (Electronic Health Records)
Fluency in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that is satisfactory to our insurance carrier
Must maintain current NYS Defensive Driving certification
Must be cleared and maintain clearance by applicable regulatory clearances as required
Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
