They are seeking a motivated and experienced accounting professional to lead all aspects of the company’s accounting, finance, insurance, tax, and regulatory functions.

Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting consistent with construction accounting principles including WIP (Work in Progress) schedules
Manage receivables, payables, and working capital to optimize cash flow and profitability
Audit payables, including supplier invoices, subcontractor progress estimates, and payrolls for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Maintain tax compliance and assist external accountants with tax preparation and revenue recognition under percentage of completion method
Oversee regulatory and licensing matters
Help identify, implement, and maintain cost-effective IT systems for all aspects of accounting, financial management, and data storage. To include time sheets, project job costing, and equipment management
Manage insurance programs for property, casualty, workers compensation, etc. for levels of coverage, pricing, claims, audits, inspections and maintain relationships with carriers and brokers
Captive insurance programs – analyze and monitor performance and serve as the company liaison
Manage employee benefit plans in coordination with company executives, HR Manager, insurance carriers, and brokers
Manage company retirement plan with input from company executives, support from third party legal and investment advisors
Mentor the accounting, HR, and payroll staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
Five to ten years' experience in accounting at an advanced level; experience in the construction industry preferred
Self-motivated and self-directed with a strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
