People and Culture Staffing Specialist
Jackson College is seeking a People & Culture Staffing Specialist to serve as a key member of their Human Resources team. This role involves managing the recruitment, onboarding, and support for adjunct and student employees, while contributing to daily HR operations across the college.
Responsibilities
Providing comprehensive administrative support for daily HR operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong customer service
Coordinating adjunct employment processes, including onboarding, assignments, load monitoring, absences, stipends, and contracts
Managing adjunct hiring pools and supporting hiring fairs (virtual and in-person)
Partnering with Academic Deans, Hiring Managers, and the Chief Academic Officer to ensure appropriate staffing of classes
Maintaining faculty qualification records and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements
Serving as liaison with third-party payroll partners
Managing the student employment process across campuses, including recruiting, hiring, training, evaluations, and budgeting
Coordinating coaching and temporary appointments, payroll schedules, and tracking employment timelines
Supporting new employee orientation and HR web content
Using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools daily—and leveraging AI to improve efficiency
Cross-training with HR colleagues and supporting the department during peak times
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field OR Associate degree with 2–4 years of HR-related experience (or equivalent combination)
Experience with Human Resources practices and employee record management
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and database systems
Knowledge of, or willingness to grow with, AI tools in the workplace
