Responsibilities
Support litigation case management by organizing and maintaining case files, updating records, and preparing routine documents under the direction of senior paralegals or attorneys
Assists with scheduling and deadline tracking by updating calendars, monitoring key dates, and coordinating routine communications
Perform administrative tasks including document assembly, data entry, formatting correspondence and maintaining department logs and reports
Process legal invoices and track billing activity to support accurate and timely financial coordination
Support subpoena and legal request responses by gathering documents and ensuring timely submissions in accordance with guidance provided
Conduct basic research and data collection to support departmental projects and ongoing litigation activities
Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all work products in alignment with internal policies and legal standards
Other duties as assigned to support departmental operations
Qualification
Required
Familiarity with legal terminology, documentation, litigation and basic research tools
Solid written and verbal communication. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with a wide variety of intracompany and external individuals and organizations
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail; adept in multitasking and managing a variety of simultaneous departmental, business and external demands
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.), Adobe, and related systems and an ability to quickly learn and employ strong working knowledge with enterprise software systems, databases and technologies
Self-starter, able to work independently with little supervision with high regard for personal integrity/ethics
Ability to work with and protect confidential and proprietary information
Preferred
Bachelor's or Associate's degree or Paralegal certification
0-2 years of experience in a legal support role and/or consumer finance servicing
Experience with legal matter-management and legal-invoicing platforms
