Responsibilities
Support the Director of Recruitment in developing and executing recruitment strategies
Identify effective sourcing channels across job boards, social media, and professional networks
Track recruitment trends and recommend improvements
Manage the full recruitment cycle: postings, screening, interviews, and coordination
Review applications and shortlist qualified candidates
Conduct initial interviews and coordinate next steps with hiring teams
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline
Promote The Sentinel’s mission and opportunities across digital and community channels
Maintain best practices for communication and engagement
Ensure a smooth, positive experience from application through onboarding
Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and plan recruitment efforts
Provide guidance to volunteer recruiters to ensure consistent hiring practices
Support inclusive hiring initiatives to attract diverse talent
Qualification
Required
Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR—ideally within nonprofit or volunteer‑driven environments
Strong sourcing, recruitment marketing, and employer branding knowledge
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
Ability to use data to inform recruitment strategies
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches
