Senior Electrical Project Manager - Data Centers
Vertex Integration Partners is a well-established national electrical and technology solutions provider specializing in complex infrastructure projects. The Senior Electrical Project Manager will lead a team in managing the construction of large-scale data centers, overseeing project management, estimating, billing, collections, and team development.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company, client, and project policies
Promote job site safety and adhere to national safety standards
Generate estimates and review project proposals
Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Oversee project execution to meet design, budget, and schedule requirements
Collaborate with clients to clarify and meet expectations throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate activities of internal staff and subcontractors
Work directly with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery
Lead billing and collection efforts proactively
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
Develop and maintain strong client and team relationships
Assist leadership in labor and material planning
Provide consistent project updates to senior management
Forecast and manage financials to keep projects on track
Develop project scopes and budgets
Manage RFPs and Change Management processes
Mentor junior team members to support their development
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth
Qualification
Required
10+ years of construction project management experience
5+ years of electrical project management experience in large-scale, complex IT/telecommunications infrastructure projects, including data center installations
Familiarity with data center electrical distribution systems, cabling, and white space fit-out
Experience with retrofits in operational facilities and cross-discipline critical facility systems
Strong computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems
Ability to perform well under deadlines and external pressures
Commitment to continuous improvement in communication, organization, and leadership
Effective scheduling, delegation, and task management skills
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Mission critical project experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering) or equivalent combination of certification, education, and experience (e.g., journeyman or master electrician's license)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification
Experience with Google Suite, Salesforce, and estimating software such as ConEst
