Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to support strategic decision-making and senior management
Oversee GL accounting activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and coordinating month-end close processes
Recording and monitoring bank and credit card transactions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of financial data and timely reconciliations
Implement and monitor revenue recognition processes that adhere to ASC 606 standards
Manage sales commission compensation reporting practices, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 guidelines and internal controls
Perform advanced account analysis and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain financial data accuracy
Assist with preparing and reviewing tax filings and collaborating with external tax advisors
Support compliance initiatives by ensuring adherence to evolving tax regulations and accounting standards
Provide in-depth support during external audits, including preparation of schedules and resolution of auditor inquiries
Engage proactively with teams across the organization to deliver critical financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and drive operational improvements
Perform additional tasks as required to support the overall objectives of the accounting department
Qualification
Required
Advanced proficiency with NetSuite and familiarity with HubSpot are advantages
Extensive knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and other relevant accounting standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Solid understanding of the Order to Cash and Procure to Pay cycles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information to diverse audiences
Superior organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
A proactive, self-starter, hands-on approach with a demonstrated ability to identify and resolve challenges efficiently
A steadfast commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in all financial operations
A customer-focused attitude and the ability to build rapport across teams
Preferred
5+ years of Sr. Accounting experience in private sector environments demonstrating increasing responsibility
Proven experience in process automation and financial systems, preferably with NetSuite
Prior involvement in growing organizations or startup environments, showcasing adaptability and creative problem-solving, preferably in the SaaS space
