Responsibilities
Lead the development, optimization and expansion of our core backend services. (Typescript/Python)
Drive best practices in performance, security, and scalability as we scale rapidly over the next 6/12 months
Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Frontend teams to deliver seamless, intuitive user experiences
Own key architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and elevating back-end excellence across the company
Build out data-driven services and systems to bolster the customer experience
Influence engineering culture, fostering innovation and technical ownership within the team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of back-end development experience, with deep expertise with Typescript/Python
Experience leading technical initiatives and shipping scalable, high-performance systems to support web and mobile applications
Strong knowledge of modern back-end tooling. (ESLint, CI/CD pipelines)
Fluent in bash scripting and linux/unix commands
A passion for creating fast, optimised and elegant solutions to difficult problems
Expertise with AI code generation tools
Preferred
Experience with WebSockets, real-time data, compiled code languages, or healthcare-related applications
