Culture Biosciences is dedicated to simplifying bioprocess development for biopharmaceutical products. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive business development efforts by connecting with biotechnology and biopharma companies, managing a pipeline of opportunities, and executing strategic marketing plans.

Responsibilities

Connect with biotechnology and biopharma companies to identify opportunities to sell Culture’s platform
Construct and present proposals and structured deals to prospective clients highlighting Culture’s platform as an opportunity to meet their specific needs
Drive these opportunities from initial exploration through the entire sales process to business closure, and after-sales support
Learn everything you can about Culture’s technologies and services in order to identify and qualify opportunities
Build, maintain and manage a healthy pipeline of business opportunities. Diligently use the company CRM to keep information about all opportunities, activities, accounts and end users up to date
Work with your teammates and cross functionally to build a culture of collaboration, reliability, and innovation
Execute the Go to Market strategic and marketing plans. Diligent and timely qualification of marketing generated leads
Identify potential technology collaborations with end user customers and other technology companies that could add value to Culture’s platform and business model. Work closely with internal teams to drive these opportunities
Attend and participate in trade shows and conferences, including set-up and pack-up duties as may be needed
Organize and lead key events in your territory to network with the biotech community and generate leads and prospects
Work closely with any external commercial partners to support their business development activities associated with the Culture platform

Required

8+ years of experience selling life sciences equipment, consumables, services, research collaborations, and software products, to biopharma or biotech companies
Experience selling upstream bioprocessing services, equipment and technology
Strong analytical skills with the ability to create data-driven business cases and pitches
Excellent communicator with strong emotional intelligence
Self-motivating and able to work well independently
Adept collaborator able to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Agile thinker excited to learn about the capabilities of Culture's technology and services
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in a related scientific or engineering field, or equivalent experience in biotechnology and bioprocessing

Preferred

Strong practical working knowledge and experience with cloud-connected productivity and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspaces
Demonstrable familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as Gemini, CoPilot, ChatGPT etc
Formal training and experience in key/strategic account management
