$19/hr - $21/hrThe Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Operations Support & Field Operations intern for the summer to assist in various administrative and operational support functions. The intern will contribute to improving employee record management, managing databases, and supporting cross-departmental coordination for the Operations Support department.

Responsibilities
Maintain all departmental electronic and paper files
Creating a program that will allow SIR Finance to report financial analyses to MTA Stakeholders in a visual and analytical platform
Update records in PeopleSoft/Enterprise Learning Management system
Assist in testing internal controls and System Safety compliance
Create and maintain databases for records management
Schedule interviews with candidates
Gather and organize pertinent documents
Creating a program that will allow SIR Timekeeping to report timekeeping analyses such as absence patterns to prevent time and attendance fraud and abuse
Provide suitable recommendations to improve our processes
General office duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing, scanning and general coordination
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must
The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills
The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player
Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application

Major(s) Preferred: Business Administration/Management, Human Resources, Computer Science/Information Systems, Communications, Transportation, Accounting, or related field
