Columbia University is seeking a Treasury Analyst who will support various cash management activities and special projects within the Treasury group. The role involves performing cash reconciliations, managing cash forecasts, and assisting with Treasury operations.

Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day cash management activities:
Perform cash and GL reconciliation processes
Complete daily cash position and short-term cash forecast
Assist with Treasury Service Request queue management
Interface with Accounts Payable and Cash Accounting
Process wire transfers
Perform online system security administration
Perform updates to the Treasury Management System
Process debt-related payments
Generate various cash and debt reports
Provide functional back up to the Assistant Director Global Treasury Operations as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting) or the equivalent
Minimum of two to four years related experience in finance, accounting or treasury
Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work closely and effectively with a diverse group of University departments
Strong organizational skills required, with the ability to be flexible and work both independently and collaboratively
Must possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
The successful candidate must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality, and take pride in their work product

Preferred

Certified Treasury Professional certification a plus
