Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical prototype assembly tasks on high-performance autonomous off-road ground vehicles
Test and troubleshoot electromechanical systems
Work in a small team to improve designs, fabricate components and modify existing parts for off-road vehicles
Assume responsibility for safe and efficient operation of machinery and shop equipment
Support safety, quality and process improvements
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background: Technical certification or associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience can substitute)
3+ years of experience in assembly and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to lift more than 40 lbs
Grit: You excel in a small-team atmosphere, taking ownership of problems and working with your colleagues to solve problems across disciplines
Field-test forward: You enjoy getting your hands dirty and going off the beaten path to see the results of your work
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Ability to relocate to Seattle, WA
Preferred
Proficiency with metal and woodworking tools; experience with machine shop tools and welding preferred
Proficiency with electrical wiring, soldering and cable/harness assembly preferred
Experience with off-road vehicle operations, maintenance, and modifications preferred
