Responsibilities
Design, develop, and modify PLC programs to support automated equipment and production processes
Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues to keep production running efficiently
Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve machine reliability and performance
Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new machinery and automation systems
Maintain and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Implement safety improvements and ensure compliance with electrical and control system standards
Support continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization and equipment upgrades
Collaborate with vendors and integrators on controls components, system updates, and automation projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical systems, sensors, robotics, and automation equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Hands-on, practical approach to supporting production equipment on the plant floor
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing environment; automotive industry experience strongly preferred
