Responsibilities
Matter Management: intake, analyze, develop, communicate, execute and manage a wide variety of claims and litigations across the United States for your docket of matters
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the legal department and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration
Strategy: Ensure claims and litigation are managed properly and align with the organization’s objectives
Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and develop strategies to mitigate those risks
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations, staying abreast of changes in legislation and advising on their impact
Policy Development: Develop and implement legal policies and procedures including in employment matters
Training and Mentoring: Be collaborative and receptive of professional feedback and engagement from other members of the legal department and the business
Manage legal projects by defining scope, setting milestones, delegating tasks, tracking progress and reporting project results to ensure successful and efficient execution

Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited college or university
Bar admission in good standing in the U.S., must reside in GA / not a remote opportunity
5-8 years of litigation experience focused on product liability or personal injury and insurance defense on the plaintiff or defense side
Clear writing skills, with the ability to concisely summarize key issues
Proven ability to operate independently, handling every phase of litigation and focusing on efficient resolutions
Must have handled depositions and court appearances as first chair
Excellent client management and communication skills
Strong collaboration, organizational, and matter management skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate effectively and gain trust and confidence with internal clients and stakeholders at many different levels (including senior executives)

Detail-oriented and strong work ethic
Preferred
