On-Call Props Technician – Blue Man Group Orlando
Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group is seeking On-Call Props Technicians for Blue Man Group Orlando. The Props Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and fabrication of show props, running shows, and providing props support as needed.

Responsibilities
Assist in the maintenance of all technical elements of the show under the jurisdiction of the Props Department including but not limited to props, equipment, and set pieces
Assist in maintaining inventory of show consumables
Attend meetings as required by management
Support supplemental prop needs for rehearsals, appearances, and gigs
Provide regular and consistent show coverage on the Props track
During the running of the show, perform all duties as outlined on the run sheets (including preset, show cues, turnover, and post-show) in a safe, professional, timely and efficient manner
Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
Support systems for the maintenance, cleaning, and organization of workspaces
Adhere to safety rules and regulations for locality and department
Support gigs, trainings, rehearsals, and marketing events
Participate in load-in and load-out and lend assistance to other departments as needed
All other work-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required
Theatrical run crew experience
Theatrical prop fabrication skills
Organizational skills a must
Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle technical issues swiftly during a live show
Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training
Contribute to a safe and positive working environment at all times by adhering to and following all Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group standards, values, policies and regulations pertaining to safety using equipment and established working methods
Assist other departments when necessary for cross-departmental support
At least 2 years of previous experience, or in a similar environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or a similar field; or equivalent relevant work experience
Ability to obtain OSHA 30 course completion card
Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Ability to clearly and effectively communicate via headset
Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job including, but not limited to: climbing, crouching, kneeling, standing, lifting, sometimes for extended amounts of time; lifting at least 50lbs, working with limited to no visibility; Full list of essential functions will be sent in the offer.
