Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and competitive pricing quotes based on customer requirements and shipment details
Gather, analyze, and validate shipment data including origin/destination, commodity, volume, and service level
Negotiate rates and service terms with ocean carriers, trucking companies, rail providers, barge operators, and other vendors
Maintain and update rate agreements, tariffs, and pricing databases
Support pricing strategies across all modes of transportation: ocean, road, rail, and barge
Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure pricing aligns with service capabilities
Ensure timely turnaround of quotes while maintaining accuracy and margin targets
Utilize CargoWise (preferred) or similar systems to manage rates and pricing workflows
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of ocean freight pricing with hands-on experience across all transportation modes (ocean, road, rail, barge)
Prior experience in pricing, rate management, or analytics within a freight forwarder or logistics environment
Proven ability to negotiate rates with carriers and vendors
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Preferred
Familiarity with CargoWise is a plus
