Accounting Coordinator

Krempels Brain Injury Center is a dynamic non-profit organization seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator. In this vital role, you will maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure compliance with accounting standards to support the organization’s financial health.

Responsibilities

Manage daily bookkeeping operations using QuickBooks Online accounting software. Monitoring and managing electronic deposits and reconciliation with nonprofit fundraising software
Record and process journal entries with precision, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to maintain accurate financial data
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
Reconcile balance sheets by verifying account balances and resolving discrepancies promptly
Prepare financial reports, including income statements, profit + loss statements, and budget analyses for internal review
Assist with payroll processing, 990 tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed

Required

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within a nonprofit or small business environment
Excellent attention to detail

Proven ability to produce high quality work in a busy work environment
Comprehensive technological acumen
Proficient communication skills-interpersonal, verbal, and written
Strong interpersonal skills: adaptable, collaborative, and friendly
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field. Education may be replaced by equivalent, relevant work experience
Minimum of two years' related experience; preference for applicants with demonstrable experience working with non-profit organizations

Preferred

Competence with QuickBooks, Little Green Light, Salesforce or similar tools preferred
Experience with NH Medicaid billing is a plus
