Responsibilities

Supervise and schedule Events Team members while providing functional oversight of event support staff and vendors
Lead site visits, planning meetings, and final details meetings with Amazon customer and supporting vendor partners
Coordinate and execute high-level special events as requested by Amazon client with attention to detail and professionalism
Establish new policies and procedures for event support while providing clarity to existing Events Team procedures
Track team progress through data metrics and create monthly reports demonstrating team progress and workload
Identify opportunities for improving team communication and efficiency while assisting with GREF-related events
Maintain ethical, professional relations with contractors, employees, and property management teams while ensuring compliance with company policies

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3 years of event management or relevant hospitality experience
Advanced competence with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and other software programs
Ability to type minimum 60 WPM with accuracy and perform basic business math calculations
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with strong grammar and proofreading abilities
Ability to interact with employees, visitors, and contractors with poise and diplomacy
Flexibility to work nights, evenings, and weekends as necessary for event requirements

Preferred

Experience in corporate event management or high-profile event coordination
Background in vendor management and contract negotiation
Knowledge of emergency response procedures and facilities coordination
Experience creating proposals, presentations, and budget information compilation
Understanding of real estate and facilities management operations
Proven ability to establish policies and procedures for team operations
