Responsibilities

Proactive service resolution including following the business that is already submitted for the territory through not in good order research and subsequent call outs to the offices who sold the business. This part of the position ensures that the business submitted eventually is issued and paid. Monitoring the course of being reviewed in its various stages including suitability while keeping the wholesaling teams and advisors apprised on the progress
Partner with internal and external wholesalers to drive territory sales by assisting with product inquiries, product illustrations, updates on pending applications, and fulfilling orders for marketing material and sales literature. Calling campaign assistance--launch new products, identifying new sales opportunities
Work with other departments in a collaborative manner to facilitate results. Engage cross-team resources to bring quick and effective resolution to sales and service issues that clients may have. Perform relationship recovery and problem resolution when issues arise with offices and advisors
Educate clients with thought leadership offered by Symetra. This comes by way of conference calls, direct phone calls and Teams meetings. While not product specific per se, this offering strengthens Symetra's value proposition to financial advisors and their distributors

Required

High school diploma required
Life and Health insurance license required or obtained within 6 months of hire
One year as a Sales Support Specialist at Symetra and/or 2+ years combined industry experience
Experience in sales, financial services and insurance required
Excellent time management skills
Strong phone skills
Team Player
Effective at building relationships that generate results

Preferred

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience
