Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all aspects of claims programs, including workers’ compensation, general liability, auto, and property
Lead, mentor, and oversee claims staff and/or external administrators
Drive efficient and compliant claims handling practices to reduce costs and improve outcomes
Take a hands-on role in complex workers’ compensation claims, ensuring proper financial reserving, litigation management, and return-to-work strategies
Collaborate with HR, Safety, and Legal teams to mitigate risks and prevent future claims
Oversee and Manage relationships with TPAs, insurers, adjusters, attorneys, and medical providers
Managing expenses and maximizing efficiencies of claims costs from vendors within our various insurance programs
Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and regular reporting on claims activity and financial impact
Stay up to date on changing regulations, particularly in workers’ compensation, and implement best practices across all claims areas
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field
7+ years of claims management experience across multiple lines of coverage, with at least 3 years focused on workers' compensation
Strong knowledge of workers' compensation statutes and claims handling processes
Experience managing TPAs, claims staff, and external vendors
Proven ability to analyze data, negotiate settlements, and reduce overall claim costs
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred
Industry designations such as ARM, AIC, CPCU, or WCCP
