Responsibilities
Lead and continuously enhance the enterprise risk management framework, aligning risk appetite with corporate strategy and business objectives
Modernise risk management practices, tools, and analytics to enable predictive, data-driven risk insights rather than retrospective reporting
Partner with executive leadership to embed risk considerations into strategic planning, capital investment decisions, M&A activity, and major projects
Oversee identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of enterprise-wide risks, including operational, financial, regulatory, ESG, cyber, geopolitical, and market risks
Serve as primary risk advisor to the Board and relevant committees, delivering clear, actionable risk reporting and scenario analysis
Coordinate closely with Legal, Compliance, HSE, Finance, Internal Audit, and IT to ensure integrated risk governance across the organisation
Lead crisis management and business continuity planning, ensuring organisational readiness for high-impact events
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing risk management team, fostering a strong risk culture across the enterprise
Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks impacting the oil and gas sector and broader energy landscape
Qualification
Required
Extensive senior leadership experience in enterprise risk management within oil & gas, energy, or a comparable capital-intensive industry
Proven track record of modernising ERM frameworks and elevating risk management from a control function to a strategic partner
Strong understanding of energy markets, operational risk, regulatory environments, and large-scale project risk
Experience advising Boards and executive leadership on enterprise and strategic risk matters
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., risk, finance, engineering) strongly preferred
