Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between data engineering, control execution, and data quality assurance teams within the Risk & Controls organization

Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to transform and integrate diverse data sources (relational, non-relational, unstructured)

Build and operate automated data validation and QA frameworks in Python for proactive detection of data issues and to ensure data reliability

Optimize SQL queries and Python scripts to enhance data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability

Perform unit, integration, and regression testing on ETL workflows to ensure alignment with business logic and risk control requirements

Monitor and report on data health metrics, including completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness

Support data governance processes by enabling data lineage, metadata capture, and deployment of data assets via CI/CD pipelines

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Risk) to translate business and control requirements into technical ETL/data solutions

Investigate and analyze data anomalies and gaps, providing actionable insights using Python-based data analysis and statistical techniques

Translate technical risks and findings to non-technical stakeholders with clear, concise communication

Ensure SQL transformations are accurate and meet reporting, audit, and regulatory needs

Drive continuous improvement by identifying and automating manual data processes using Python and SQL
