Payroll Administrator
Connect Search, LLC is an exciting hospitality organization hiring a Payroll Administrator to join a fast-paced, high-volume payroll team. The role involves full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll for assigned locations
Handle high-volume payroll (approximately 1,000 employees per week across multiple locations)
Import, audit, and balance timekeeping data and payroll adjustments
Review timesheets and collaborate with department leaders to resolve discrepancies
Research and resolve payroll issues promptly and accurately
Process payroll journal entries, wage attachments, and tax documentation
Prepare ad hoc payroll reports as requested
Support audits and respond to auditor inquiries
Participate in cross-training within the payroll team
Maintain confidentiality and continuously improve payroll processes
Qualification
Required
3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment
Hands-on experience processing payroll across multiple states
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables required)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
Flexibility to work extended hours when payroll deadlines require it
Preferred
Experience with UKG / Ultipro
Hospitality industry experience
Tip-pool or manual commission processing experience
Exposure to complex payroll states (CA, CO, NY-style compliance environments)
