Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of command-line interfaces used by customers to configure, manage, and monitor disk array systems
Design and implement high-quality embedded application software, leveraging test-driven development and best engineering practices
Triage, debug, and resolve issues identified during continuous integration and deployment processes
Collaborate closely with quality and test organizations to identify and resolve defects in a timely manner
Partner with geographically distributed team members to deliver high-quality software solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of experience, or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience
Solid experience developing production-quality software in Linux-based, embedded, or systems environments
Proficiency in object-oriented software programming like C++, Java with experience designing and implementing service-based or API-driven architectures
Working knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
Ability to debug issues across multiple layers of the software stack, including application logic, operating system services, and inter-process communication
Experience collaborating with test, validation, and quality engineering teams to diagnose and resolve defects
Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort debugging embedded software
Effective verbal and written communication skills
The ability to collaborate on software design decisions with cross-functional and distributed teams
A continuous learning mindset and interest in new technologies and software frameworks
