Responsibilities

Manage and support Windows operating systems across thousands of servers in multiple data centers
Troubleshoot issues related to OS, storage, networking, and performance in a complex Windows environment
Perform capacity management and adjust system resources (CPU, memory, disk) as needed
Install, uninstall, and troubleshoot third-party software programmatically across large server fleets
Develop automation scripts using PowerShell or Python to streamline operational tasks
Monitor system health and respond to alerts to ensure maximum uptime
Utilize tools such as Service Point, SailPoint, Splunk, and App Map for ticketing, reporting, and change management
Participate in planning and execution of complex infrastructure changes and deployments

Required

5+ years of enterprise systems engineering experience with hands-on expertise in: Windows Server OS (2008–2022), Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Failover Clustering, IIS, SSL Certificates, Perfmon, Wireshark, VMware and vSphere
3+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Familiarity with storage, backup, and networking technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business and/or equivalent military experience
Manage and support Windows operating systems across thousands of servers in multiple data centers
Troubleshoot issues related to OS, storage, networking, and performance in a complex Windows environment

This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment
You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role

Preferred

Solid understanding of ITIL practices including Incident, Change, and Problem Management
