Power Electronics Intern – Mechanical Design

As a Power Electronics Intern (Mechanical Design), you will support the R&D Engineering team in product development and evaluation of new technologies for high-density and high-efficiency power supplies.

Responsibilities
Participate in the product and technology projects on high-density power supplies
Assist in modeling and designing of mechanical components and assemblies, and creating CAD drawings
Assist in thermal design
Support engineering prototype builds and conduct laboratory tests
Present the technical results
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a B.S, M.S or Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, in the US
Must be currently authorized to work
Experience in electronics packaging and/ or thermal design
Familiarity with 3D CAD tools – Creo, SolidWorks, etc
Familiarity with ANSYS Icepak
Experience in Windchill and BOM structuring
Familiarity with PCB and PCBA, and electrical safety requirements
Ability to learn quickly and work in teams
Effective communication skills
